The Valorz valley is a natural amphitheatre near to the village of San Bernardo (1,095 m) and its picture postcard landscape can be explored on foot with the Masi di Valorz footpath which leads to the bottom of the waterfalls.
The route begins in the car park near the Kneipp water therapy path, where there is an information board and a map showing interesting facts about the route. Winding our way along the edge of the fields, we explore the varied natural beauty of the forest and the terrain, enhanced by human creativity.
Along the Sentiero Rio Valorz, a 2 km loop, you may meet the “animals of the forest”, a number of installations created from natural materials by the sculptor Maurizio Misseroni, accompanied by a few lines of poetry by Teresa Girardi, a noted poet from the Val di Rabbi.
When you reach the wooden bridge at the highest point of the route (1,245 m), you can decide whether to carry on to the base of the Valorz waterfalls or continue the loop to the starting point, trying out the pleasure and benefits of the Kneipp water therapy path.
