Description
Water, in all its forms, is the dominant element of the entire valley, a precious gift from nature which, throughout history, has been harnessed by man in many different ways. In Rabbi, it is natural to follow the flow of the water, walking along the banks of the Rabbies river or one of the many streams. The call of water is as strong as the energy it provides. There are many routes to choose from, one of which is the “Percorso dell’Acqua” which begins at Terme di Rabbi and leads to the ancient Venetian Begoi sawmill, passing close to the Plan campsite next to the Rabbies river; it then climbs to the Ragaiolo waterfall and the brand new suspension bridge. Walking across this bridge is a thrilling, adrenaline-filled experience at any time of year: standing 57 metres above the gorge offers a unique vantage point over the spectacular surroundings. Excitement and thrills for all, from experienced hikers to children and families. The route continues, for anyone who wants more, into the forest towards Malga Fratte and the other Alpine dairies above, or towards Colèr, Malga Stablasolo and the spectacular Saènt waterfalls.
