After parking your car at the Cavallar parking lot, walk back to the parking lot entrance and turn right to reconnect with the forest road. This will be your guide, and you should follow it until you reach Malga Caldesa, which you will reach in about an hour and a half of walking. During the hike, take some time to breathe in the nature around you: you are in the Stelvio National Park!
If you enjoy venturing through the woods, the route offers shortcuts through Sentiero SAT 108 and SAT 130, which reconnect to the forest road at different points.

This hike with a moderate elevation gain takes you to Malga Samocleva via an unpaved forest road. The route is also suitable for children (we recommend using a backpack or baby carrier instead of a stroller!), and from the malga, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Val di Rabbi.
