01. Explore on foot in winter
Savour the silence and the purity of the snow, treat yourself to the pleasure of walking through fields and forests on snowshoes!
Sebastian Kneipp felt that walking bare foot was very important: it strengthens the feet and the “pain-gain” sensation on your feet stimulates the whole body and the internal organs.
Set off walking in the shallow water, slowly, savouring the beneficial massaging effect on the soles of your feet created by the rounded stones and then stand on fine volcanic dust which warms your feet. Next, move on to the pool, which stimulates a positive reaction in your veins, making it ideal for anyone suffering from varicose veins.
Along the route, you will find sun loungers where you relax and warm up in the sunshine, have a drink from the granite fountain or enjoy a clay wrap. Clay prevents and delays inflammation and is also highly absorbent of toxins. Circulation is improved, tissue is activated and toxins are carried into the lower layers of the skin and removed via the vascular system. As you progress along the route, there is the option of spraying your whole body with jets of cold water. They have an excellent beautifying effect if applied after exposure to the sun when the body is warm; they reduce the formation of catarrh, strengthen and toughen the body by stimulating circulation with a refreshing effect that helps to control tachycardia.
