ITINERARY
ASCENT
From the parking follow the snowy road to Malga Caldesa Bassa (1.830 m). To shorten some part of the road it is possible to follow the signs and go throug a steeper way. 500 m after Malga Caldesa Bassa turn to the left and follow the sign to Malga Caldesa Alta (2026 m). From there point the hump above you climbing up in the middle of a sparse larches wood. At the top of the hump you can enjoy a beautiful view on the valley.
DESCENT
The way to go back is quite free. After Malga Caldesa Bassa choose fields and larches woods to return to the parking.
VARIATION TO CIMA QUAIRA (2752 m): after Malga Caldesa Alta turn to the right in direction Passo Palù. Cima Quaira is the highest peak in front of you and following the crest to the top is not particularly difficult.
